I know I wrote on here, like 12 hours ago, that I wouldn't be updating alot for the next few weeks. Then Tyson sent me these pictures of our tour, and I thought this series was especially cool. Everyone be sure and check out the bands we are playiing with in the links I posted yesterday.
ah man, that kills me. Coffee and cigarettes and I have to sit in this office. Man I want to be in the band! I want to be rock and roll! I could use come consoling words from Masedog and ACM right about now...
Posted by: Illman at August 31, 2005 3:38 PMYou guys look just like rock stars: cool clothes, ironic glasses, cigarettes...and you're just a little blurry. Like rock stars.
Posted by: Tyler at August 31, 2005 3:55 PMIll, fear not, you're in the band. What can you do? Sitar? African Thumb Piano? Bazouki? Kaiku drums?
Posted by: mason at August 31, 2005 6:36 PMDidn't you play the mandolin for a couple days, Illman. You can be the mandolin player in the band. And the mandolin players are always the coolest members of the band, this is a proven fact. We can do covers of Losing My Religion, and, um... isn't there mandolin in Maggie May. We can do that too. That and some frickin' awesome Nickel Creek songs, or, better yet, Nickelback songs done in the style of Nickel Creek. Awesome.
Posted by: ACM at August 31, 2005 11:54 PMI was actually thinking more of playing the beatbox like Matisyahu. Although, the whole Nickelback thing......um......sounds..... pretty cool...
Posted by: Illman at September 1, 2005 10:15 AMActually Illman, I have an opening for a didgeridoo player in my band. Interested? We do Barry Manilow covers.
Posted by: Chris at September 1, 2005 1:53 PMIf you could play the pump organ we could play the entire Neil Young Unplugged album and the last tune of Kid A. Just a thought
Posted by: mason at September 1, 2005 2:20 PMThat's the best idea I've heard all decade.
Posted by: ACM at September 1, 2005 2:23 PMI think that would be a wamp ass set list. Just Neil and Radiohead. It's brilliant. Then we could move on to other great unpluggeds...Ratt, STP, Stevie Ray Vaughn (and of course for Chris) Pearl Jam. It's an unplugged band.
oh, and the yo MTV raps unplugged....
Dude, your phone won't ring.
Posted by: John at September 1, 2005 3:37 PMare you talking to me?
Posted by: Illman at September 1, 2005 3:58 PMNo, I'm trying to T.C.O.B. with the Masonary but I can't freaking talk to him.
