Now that the EP is out and Mason is here, we have devoted our time to recording tracks for the next Quiet Ones album. It is going to be called Better Walk Than Ride Like That. We are on our second day of recording and it has been extremely productive. The Quiet Ones have always recorded at home, but have never actually recorded two instruments at the same time. This time we are recording at our friend Phil from the band Tennis Pro's house and Mason and I have been doing drums and bass at the same time. The result is an energy that has never really been there.
Thanks to everyone who came out to the Quiet Ones CD release party for 'Nite You Surprised Me'. It was the most fun show I have played in a long time. For those of y'all who read this from the South or elsewhere, Blitzen Trapper is the next big band from Portland, guaranteed, and they deserve to be because they really are more talented than any band I have shared a stage with. They really are quite amazing. Please check them our or have your record store order their CD. If talking to a record store clerk, tell them to order it through Burnside Distro, I think that's right. Or check them out at
