Review Of Nite You Surprised Me.

Here's a review of Nite You Surprised Me from Losing Today.

"The Quiet Ones are made up of fourteen musicians spread out across five states. As you would expect from such a well-populated group, their sound is pretty large, although the songwriting is pretty straight forward - perhaps sounding something like Death Cab For Cutie or The Shins, but with a few spacey orchestral moments that recall The Flaming Lips (singer John Totten's voice also sounds a lot like Wayne Coyne's). Although The Quiet Ones don't have hundreds of thousands of fans like their influences, they've got something interesting going on in this six song EP, with some major pop potential in songs like "Hard To Explain" and "I Don't Know Why". Assuming they don't screw it up, I wouldn't be surprised if some people start taking notice with their next full-length."

"Fine ragged-yet-harmonic rock and roll. Understated, for the most part, but with enough grit on the edges to give it the necessary oomph. Needs a bit more, well, something to break out of the pack, but these songs show serious potential."

wow, the Quiet Ones are just getting larger and larger. BTW, we're having a baby girl in about 9 weeks. What's your new phone number? I called the cell, but i got some women.

And just why exactly do you think you got women? This is The Quiet Ones we're talking about. Their new tracks have netted them some fems. That's how it works, David. :)

Is Hubucker supposed to be Humbucker? If so, the explanation is simple. The Quiet Ones have expanded and gotten them some groupies.

wow, good to see Meg post. Have heard from her in awhile. How's Montana treatin' ya? Looks pretty cold there...

John, the naming of our girl has narrowed down to Quiet, Ones, Johnny T., Johanna, or Johnny T and the Twins. Whaddya think?
