Busted Vans/Presidential Campaigns...

We're trying to get rid of ou current van and get a bigger one. Our crew has grown and the amount of stuff we have has as well, the only answer is an expensive trailer or a 15 passenger van. Last night we went to Rainier, OR to look at a van that seemed like a pretty sweet deal on Craigslist (that's right, I just linked to craigslist, in case some people have never heard of it) but when we got there the "four year old engine" was covered in rust and duct tape. Aftwerwards we were so dissappointed we had a tough time convincing Mr. Manager to go but we went to Portland.

Everything is hipper in Portland, the bars are open later, everybody's more laid back, it's safer there, they have Mesh and we don't BUT everytime I go to Portland I feel a bit suffocated because everyone there is exactly like me and there is absolutely nothing that makes me special, almost like a whole city of Capital Hill.

Anyway it's a good place to visit for me and come back from.

I am tired of this primary and I want Hillary to drop out of the race. I'm tired of the Rovian way she has run her campaign, it makes me see her as a part of the same machine that John McCain is. Between Clinton and McCain, I would rather vote for Clinton than McCain but I would also rather punch her in the face than McCain. I don't understand how our country and our media spent a week and a half dwelling on the words of a former Obama pastor, essentially making Barack responsible for his words, but the media only spends a day talking about Hilary's lies about her trip to Bosnia and her depiction of herself as some sort of Bond girl.

She's proven over and over again that she's willing to do anything to get the nomination, even attack her own party members, and unlike George Bush, whose tricks int he 2000 primary gave him the edge over John McCain, she hasn't even been able to preserve a mathmatical possibility for her victory.

Obama is the perfect president to lead us into a new century. He challenges not just our laws, but our thinking and our systems that lead to those laws. Clinton is a candidate of the 90's. Those of us who are poor and keep getting poorer, who can't pay loans, and therefore get deeper in debt, who are tired of living in a country that progresses three steps forward and five steps back at a time, see Obama as the first true progressive candidate for president in our life time and as an ounze of hope against everything that is dissillusioning about this country.
